By downloading, installing, or using the Car Companion mobile application (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Car Companion is a mobile application that helps users manage their vehicles, track fuel consumption, log mileage, monitor vehicle expenses, and share vehicle access with family or fleet members. The App provides fuel economy statistics, expense reports, odometer tracking, and co-management features.

3. User Accounts

The App requires you to create an account to use its features. You may sign up using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Disclaimer

Car Companion is a vehicle management tool for personal use. The App does not provide professional mechanical advice, roadside assistance, or warranty services. Fuel economy calculations and expense reports are based on data you enter and may not be perfectly accurate. Always consult a qualified mechanic for vehicle maintenance decisions.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and features of the App are the property of Car Companion and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Limitation of Liability

Car Companion is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to: inaccurate fuel calculations, data loss, or any consequences resulting from reliance on App data.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
